DH just brought this up a few minutes ago and now I'm kinda worrying.
I totally forgot that I need to be thinking about birth control for after I have the baby. I don't exactly know what we're going to do.
I know I want to avoid anything with hormones. So that means: No pills, patches, shots.
I'm thinking about trying 'Natural Family Planning' and using condoms until my cycle is regular again.
Ughhh. I know my doctor will be no help with this decision.

Can you keep charting, but use the TTA (Trying to Avoid) method? Either abstain during your fertile week (NFP - Natural Family Planning) or use condoms (FAM - Fertility Awareness Method). I think that's what we're going to do. I think. Lol. I seriously haven't thought about it either!

I do plan on charting but I'm not sure how long it will take for my cycles to return to normal. I usually have pretty irregular cycles too so I'm not sure if it will work for us.
I just know I don't want any form of BC that has hormones in it. They tend to horribly depress me for some reason and not much help to the PPD I had after having Brax. Yet I know my doctor will INSIST and push, push, push me to use either the pill, patch, shot or nuva ring.

What about an IUD? It's a T-shaped device that goes in your uterus. They aren't hormonal, they just block implantation. My friend is using one now after her 2nd child because it's easily removed and you can resume baby-making if you want (b/c she wants to have more, but not right now).

Thats definetly a possibility. I'm not sure if my insurance would cover it but I'll look into it! :)
