The [boring] life of a SAHM

My gender scan is April 13th and we aren't having our big "family easter" until April 13th so if I can keep it a secret from family until then we have a great way to tell family!! (I stole it from the FF msg boards!) :)

I'm going to get a white cake mix and use food coloring to make it either pink or blue. Then I'm going to take white cake frosting and cover the whole thing so it just looks like a regular cake. At easter that will be the dessert I bring and after we've all ate I'll bring out the cake and explain that if its a girl the inside will be pink, if its a boy the inside will be blue, and then have my mommy cut the cake. From what I've heard its really exciting and people freak when they see what color is inside. ;) I can't wait!

I just have to keep it a secret! I'm NO good at that!!

On another note, I've been planning a few things we could do for the baby shower and I went on the m&m website and personalized my own m&ms. I think it would be cute to have personalized m&ms at the baby shower in little glass dishes. One m&m would say It's a girl! (or It's a boy!) and would be either light pink or blue. The other m&m would be dark pink/blue and say Adelyn Grace (or Blaine Thomas) I would probably order 3 7 oz bags (16.99 each) but when you buy more they get cheaper so if I bought 3 it would be 11.99 ea. which would only be around $40.

Ugh. I know I'm planning like WAY ahead but I'm a planner!! And I need to know when things are going to happen/whats going to happen, etc. I have figured out the weekend I'm having my baby shower! LOL I'll be 30 weeks & its in the middle of July. I want to have it 2 months before I have the baby so I don't have to rush around getting the nursery set up/exchanging things etc while I'm huge, hot and misreable. Anyways, thats all I've got for now! :)
