So there is a thread on the Sept boards about checking your own cervix. I had tried a few times with no luck so I got DH to try a few times.
The first time-nothing.
The second time-kinda low, hard, closed.
The third time-high, soft, closed. (this was 3-4 days ago)
I'm thinking DH just didn't know what he was looking for, either that or I've made a large amount of progress in 3 days!
I just checked myself and could reach and....
My cervix is high. VERY "squishy" and I'm thinking between 1-2 cm dilated. I could fit my finger in and had a little extra room.
Glad to see my body DOES know what it's doing! ;)

Oh wow! I would be so nervous about checking. Even though I checked while I was charting, it just makes me nervous while pregnant. I don't wanna mess anything up! haha. I have a question - if you are dilated and can fit a finger in there, does that mean your mucous plug is gone? Because I thought it stops up the hole.
