The [boring] life of a SAHM

I went to the Health Department today. They were having a breastfeeding class thing because apparently it's National Breastfeeding week? I talked to the lactation consultant and she was so nice and so helpful. She answered all my questions and gave me a free goodie bag that included: a bib, a DVD on breastfeeding, lots of stuff to read on bfing, 8 washable nursing pads (A MUST HAVE. I just bought a bunch the other day!), a bag (im not sure what its used for but its insulated, is that the right word? so it keeps things cold. Maybe for breastmilk?) , a keychain with breastfeeding facts/laws. It's really neat.

She told me after I have Addie if I need help or have any questions to give her a call and she will come to me or I can come to her, whatever works, and help me with bfing. YAY!

Also, she told me NOT to buy a breastpump but to come to her after I've had Addie and she will give me a free pump, and she told me if it ever breaks to come to her and she will either fix it or give me a new one. And the great thing is-the pumps MEDELA! :D

I'm just so excited. I feel so accomplished. I've been able to mark SO many things off my list this week:

-found a lactation consultant that will help me with bfing
-I found someone to watch Braxton while I'm in the hospital for 3 days (MIL)
-I've got pretty much everything I need for baby Addie (and have it all washed/in place!)

Now just waiting on her to arrive. :)
